It is suitable for Class B (liquid fuel), Class C (gaseous fires), and electrically started fires.
The extinguisher is a gas cartridge type unit fitted with a 120 g CO₂ gas cartridge conforming to IS 4947. The cartridge provides expellant pressure when activated, discharging the BC dry powder through the squeeze-grip valve and PVC braided hose.
The fire rating is 89B, with an effective discharge time of approximately 15 seconds, throw range of approximately 3.5 metres, and discharge efficiency of about 95%.
The body is constructed from MS Sheet (low carbon welded sheet as per IS 513) by the MIG welding process with 1.2 mm thickness, an MS pipe neck ring (64 mm filling diameter), 7-tank anti-corrosion treatment, and epoxy powder coating (minimum 50 microns).
Each unit includes 1 fully assembled fire extinguisher and 1 wall mounting bracket, packed in a corrugated box (175 mm × 175 mm × 520 mm).
